Located in one of the UK’ s fastest-growing cities, Kingston Park, South Peterborough, comprised three new commercial warehouses providing 475,000 sqft of B2/B8 manufacturing and distribution space. The 23-acre site originally operated as a brick quarry by the London Brick Company and was later backfilled with Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA) creating a very challenging site for construction. The scheme included 40,000 sqft of roof mounted photovoltaics and it was the first UK logistics scheme to use PrimX jointless concrete floor system, realising a 30% reduction on programme and a 70% reduction in embodied carbon. The project achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and Net Zero Construction.
