The project brief is to transform the existing industrial unit into a lab and office workspace through a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing building. The majority of the existing industrial unit will be replaced with new elements including, but not limited to the following: full new façade, new roof, demolition of the existing mezzanine level, installation of a new mezzanine level and structural alterations to support additional loadings. Once completed, OMX will provide capacity to incubate approximately 275 new companies starting from next year.
